There are several training options available for learning more about booking and reporting travel & entertainment expenses at UC Davis.

Online and classroom training options available in the UC Learning Center.

Online Training

  • AggieTravel Approvals (eCourse)
    A high level overview of the Travel and Entertainment report approval process.
  • Foreign Travel Overview (eCourse)
    An overview of university policy, procedure and some helpful tips for international travel.
  • Travel Overview (eCourse)
    High-level overview of travel policies and procedures for UC Davis travelers.

Classroom Training

  • AggieTravel: An Introduction (in person)
    Offered once per quarter, AggieTravel, an Introduction is a hands on course specifically designed for users who have not used AggieTravel before. This class covers how to set up your profile, how to create an expense report, assign allocations, and attach receipt images. Information and registration can be found through the UC Learning Center.
  • AggieTravel: A Refresher (in person)
    Offered once per quarter, AggieTravel, a Refresher is a hands on course designed for people who have used AggieTravel but would like a reminder of how things work. This course targets infrequent travelers/entertainers or people just looking for a refresher. Information and registration can be found through the UC Learning Center.
  • AggieTravel: Connexxus
    Taught by Yasmin Sidi, UCOP Travel Manager, this session will highlight the University’s systemwide travel program and provide travelers and their arrangers an opportunity to see firsthand how to get the most out of booking travel via AggieTravel and with other Connexxus travel partners. Information and registration can be found through the UC Learning Center.
  • AggieTravel: Foreign Travel Overview (in person)
    Offered once per quarter, this lecture course reviews policies and processes for foreign and long term domestic travel, best practices, reservations, insurance, and receipt requirements. There will be time for Q&A. Information and registration can be found through the UC Learning Center. 
  • AggieTravel: Travel and Entertainment Overview (in person)
    Offered once per month thru November and then once a quarter, this lecture course reviews the policies and processes of Travel and Entertainment. The first part of the session focuses on travel policies, booking travel arrangements, using the Travel card, and highlights travel resources. The last hour of this session covers entertainment event policies, best practices, and receipt requirements for hosting a conference, workshop, or large event.
