The UC Davis Banking Card Program includes multiple cards and programs designed to expedite various payment types.
Banking Card Programs
- Procurement Card: Used by university employees for departmental supply purchases less than $10K.
- Travel Card: Used for university employee travel expenses.
- Instant Card: Single-trip payment option for non-employees (guests) traveling on behalf of the university.
- Preferred Booking Program: Used to reserve local hotels.
Required Training
Before requesting a Procurement or Travel Card, the training requirements must be fulfilled.
- The Procurement Card online training is required prior to applying, and annually for all cardholders and financial department approvers who oversee P-Cards.
- The Travel Card online training is required prior to applying. Financial department approvers who oversee Travel Cards need to take the training, even if they are not a cardholder.
- Click the desired online training from the right-side menu, to be redirected to the UC Learning Center (requires CAS login).
- Please note: the cardholder agreements can be found in many locations, including the right-side menu, and as directed below.
- Training is not required for the Instant Card program, unless an employee will be using the Instant Card, in which case the Travel Card online training is required.

Requests will be processed on a first-in-first-out basis. For emergencies, email [email protected] with a request for escalation. Include the cardholder’s name and the AggieExpense Request number.
