Pipette Calibration and Maintenance Service

Rainin provides monthly pipette calibration at the AggieSupply Scientific Store.

Registration for monthly pipette servicing events is now available in Aggie Enterprise, with representatives from Rainin inspecting, cleaning, and providing minor repairs, at the Supply Chain Management Scientific Store at  650 La Rue Road.   

You may bring your pipettes to the Scientific Store on the day of the event, or before 4:00pm the day prior to the event. Once you have received the email confirmation that you are registered, please ensure that you or a designee delivers the pipettes for the scheduled maintenance. 

The next pipette calibration and preventative maintenance session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 14, 2024.  

  1. To register, log in to Aggie Enterprise.
  2. Make sure you set up your Requisition Preferences first (if you haven't already done so).
  3. On the Aggie Enterprise home page, click on the Procurement tile > Purchase Requisitions tile>All Punchouts tile >Rainin tile.
  4. On the Rainin site, use the Quick Order option to add one or more of the following to your cart.  You can select service for single, 8-channel, or 12-channel pipettes. After entering the code on the Quick Order screen, click the cart icon. Repeat the process for each service you are requesting.

  1. After adding the desired services, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Go to Cart
  2. Verify that all looks correct, then scroll to the bottom of the screen, and click the Validate button.
  3. On the next screen, scroll to the bottom and click the Add To Requisition button to transfer the cart items back to Aggie Enterprise to complete your order

As with all Aggie Enterprise orders, payment information for the paperless billing will be collected when you complete the cart checkout process. Completing the service request in Aggie Enterprise ensures that there are enough technicians on site to promptly service your pipettes. 

Once your order is fully approved and electronically transmitted to Rainin, you will receive an order confirmation email with an attachment.  Print out the order confirmation email attachment, and on the day of the next session, please bring it with you, along with your pipettes.  Also, be sure you label your pipettes with your name and phone number.  If you have multiple pipettes, place each of your pipettes into a clear, labeled bag.  

After servicing, pipettes may be picked up at the Scientific Store before 4 P.M. You will be sent an email when pipettes are ready for pick up.
