There continues to be disruptions to United Parcel Service (UPS) deliveries on campus. While some shipments are being delivered, others are being delayed or returned to the sender. We do not have an estimate as to when this disruption will be resolved.

New Home Page Coming Soon

The Supply Chain Management home page will soon have a new streamlined look and feel!

Beginning Monday, Nov. 14, visitors to our home page will find:

  • simplified drop-down menu options,
  • timely messages on current issues, hot topics and upcoming events, and
  • easier-to-find staff and unit contact information.

Helpful information on our systems will be accessible from the home page, and Repro Graphics’ online ordering platform, AggiePrint, will be added to the suite.

Toys for Tots Toy Drive is Back

 

Mail Services is once again teaming up with the Marine Corps Reserve for the annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive, which runs from November 28 to December 9. Help make the holidays brighter for Yolo County children by donating a new, unwrapped toy. Look for the blue bins around campus or place the toys in your outgoing mail. Toys can also be dropped off at Mail Services at 615 Hopkins Dr. during normal business hours.

17th Annual Holiday Food Drive

The Holiday Food Drive is back! Donating is easy, simply leave non-perishable food and other essentials in your outgoing mail and Mail Services will collect them from Nov. 1 to Nov. 18. Donations benefit students through the ASUCD Pantry on campus and the UC Davis Health community at the UC Davis Health Pantry.

Heading to AggieSurplus for November's in-store shopping event? Bring non-perishable donation items Thursday, Nov. 3 and Friday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and receive the following discounts:

Airgas Discontinuing Some Services

Airgas, UC’s main supplier of liquid nitrogen for cryogenic storage, has announced it will no longer permit its delivery drivers to fill open-mouth dewar flasks if they contain samples. In addition, Airgas drivers will no longer provide connection/disconnection services or inventory management. These services are not included in Airgas’ contract with UC, however, some customers have been receiving them as a courtesy.

UC Announces Increase to Meal Rates for Travel, Entertainment

In response to soaring food prices, UC has increased the maximum per person amounts for the reimbursement of travel and entertainment meal expenses. These rates apply to travel and entertainment reports submitted in the AggieExpense system after Sept. 9, 2022.

Meal reimbursement for Travel under 30 days within the lower 48 states is now capped at $79 per day of travel, up from $62. As a reminder, only actual expenses may be claimed. The UC does not provide a traditional “per diem”.
