The below instructions apply to preparing packages and parcels.
Size and Weight Limits
The combined length and girth of a package can be no more than 130 inches, and the weight can be no more than 70 pounds. The minimum size for an item of intra-campus mail is 3 1/2" X 5". Items such as posters and single sheet flyers that exceed 11 1/2" X 15" must be folded in half. Addressed single sheet items must be folded in half unless they are printed on poster paper.
Preventing Damage
Most damage to packages is due to improper packaging and handling. A strong, sturdy container and adequate cushioning can protect your contents against damage. For further packaging requirements please refer to the following:
