New Process Streamlines Alcohol Permit Process

Conference and Event Services has a new process for the UC Davis Permit to Serve Alcoholic Beverages.

The permit is now completed through DocuSign rather than a paper form. The permit will continue to be accessed through the application webpage and a webform. The content of the permit request has not changed. The main difference is that routing and signatures will now take place within DocuSign, and there will no longer be a need to pick up or manage physical signature letters.

Within the new system, your submitted permits will be saved to your account. This allows you to check the status of your requests, reopen completed permits, and clone past submissions—particularly helpful if you are submitting multiple permits with similar details.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • The 10-day submission requirement remains in place. Permits submitted fewer than 10 days before an event may not be processed in time for alcohol service.
  • Once a permit has been approved, it cannot be edited. If changes are needed, the permit must be canceled and a new one submitted. CES staff are not able to make changes to approved permits.
