The Pepsi partnership benefits the UC Davis community by supporting a variety of UC Davis programs and operations.
The Pepsi partnership agreement provides more than $10 million to fund a variety of student programs, sustainability, health and wellness initiatives, and to offset operating costs for retail locations.
As part of the agreement roughly 80% of PepsiCo beverages initially sold at UC Davis will be packaged in aluminum, glass, cartons or other non-plastic containers. The few PepsiCo products currently unavailable in non-plastic packaging will be available in sustainable packaging by 2030, aligning with UC’s Sustainability Practices policy regarding single-use plastic beverage containers.
The contract will be in place through 2034.
